To Death With A Smile

“When cardinals appear, angels are near” is a phrase near and dear to my heart. To Death with a Smile is an annual international poster competition where designers are asked to express their personal interpretation of death. Portrayed here is a hand-drawn Mexican folk-art piece composed of overlays and textures. The interpretation of heaven coming to earth is shown through those symbolic cardinals.
